Fritz Krämer

Fritz Krämer is the founder and artistic director of the professional early music ensemble BERNVOCAL. He regularly works with soloists such as Emma Kirkby, Núria Rial, Dorothee Mields, María Cristina Kiehr, Hana Blažíková, Robin Johannsen, Francesca Aspromonte, Sarah Wegener, Peter Kooij, Kai Wessel, Konstantin Wolff, Maurice Steger, Enrico Onofri, Chouchane Siranossian or Sergio Azzolini.

Among the orchestras Fritz Krämer has conducted are the Hamburger Symphoniker, Barockorchester L’arpa festante, OPUS Bern, Camerata Basel, Elbipolis Barockorchester Hamburg, Capriccio Barockorchester, Neues Orchester Basel, Junge Sinfonie Bern and Akademisches Orchester Basel.

Fritz Krämer studied conducting, musicology and philosophy in Hamburg, Heidelberg and Bern. He also took part in master-classes, e.g. with Frieder Bernius, and was an intern with Philippe Herreweghe. His graduation concert was supported by the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius.
